1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains who we are, how we process personal information about you when you use our mobile application Flashlight Strobe SOS (the “App”), and how you can exercise your privacy rights. The App is published by Bland Farms, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

The App is distributed through the Google Play Store. By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What the App does

Flashlight Strobe SOS is a utility app that includes a flashlight tool (steady light, strobe, and SOS signaling) and an LED Banner tool that lets you type a message and display it full-screen with options such as color, speed, and font size, including pause/resume. The App can save your recent LED banner entries on your device so you can replay them quickly. We aim to keep on-device content local unless stated otherwise below.

3. Information we collect

Information we may process broadly falls into the following categories:

(a) Information you provide voluntarily

If you contact support, you may provide information such as your email address and the content of your message. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry.

(b) Information processed on your device (LED Banner)

When you use the LED Banner feature, the text you enter and related display settings may be stored locally on your device (for example, as “recent banners”) to improve convenience. We do not intend to upload your banner text to our servers for this history feature.

(c) Information collected automatically

When you use the App, we and our service providers may automatically collect or receive certain information, such as:

Device identifiers such as your Google Advertising ID (GAID) and other device or app identifiers as available to the SDKs we use.
Device type, operating system version, language, app version, and similar technical data.
IP address and coarse location derived from IP (for example, country or region level).
App usage and diagnostics data (for example, session length, feature usage, crashes) when we use analytics or advertising SDKs.
Information related to advertising delivery and measurement (for example, impressions, clicks, and conversions), including data processed by ad networks.

The flashlight feature may use the device’s camera subsystem to control the torch/LED flash on supported devices. We do not use the flashlight feature to capture or store photos or videos.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of sensitive personal data (such as health data) through the App.

4. Permissions

The App may request permissions that are relevant to its features, including:

Internet / network access: Used to deliver third-party advertisements, load ad content, support in-app purchases and license checks through Google Play, and to enable other online features that require connectivity.
Camera / torch (flashlight): On many Android devices, controlling the LED flash is implemented through camera-related APIs. The App uses this access to provide flashlight, strobe, and SOS modes. The App is not intended to capture photos or record video through this permission.
Local storage / app storage: Used to store recent LED banner entries and preferences on your device.

If we add optional features that require additional permissions, we will update this Privacy Policy and request permissions in line with platform rules.

5. How we use your information

We use information for purposes including:

Providing and operating the App (flashlight modes, LED banner playback, on-device history, and related settings).
Displaying third-party advertisements in the App and measuring their performance.
Improving stability, security, and user experience (for example, diagnostics and analytics where enabled).
Customer support and responding to your requests.
Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms.

In-app purchases

The App may offer in-app purchases. Payment transactions are processed by Google Play through your Google account. We do not receive your full payment card details. Purchases are subject to Google Play’s terms and privacy practices.

6. How we share your information

We cannot operate ad-supported services without sharing certain technical and usage information with partners. We may share information with categories of recipients such as:

Advertising partners: including Google through services such as Google AdMob and related advertising technologies, to show ads in the App and to measure ad effectiveness and prevent fraud. Analytics and diagnostics providers: if we integrate them, to understand crashes, usage trends, and product performance.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information for money. To the extent certain sharing for advertising is considered a “sale” or “sharing” under U.S. state privacy laws, you may have rights to opt out as described below.

7. Advertising

We use advertising to help make the App available. Ad networks may use identifiers such as your advertising ID and IP address to deliver and measure ads, limit frequency, combat fraud, and improve relevance.

7.1 Personalized ads and consent (EEA, UK, and similar regions)

Where required by law, we will request your consent before using personal data for personalized advertising, including through consent mechanisms supported on Android (for example, a consent form presented in the App). If you do not consent, you may still see ads, but they may be less relevant.

7.2 How to limit personalized ads on your device

Android: Open Settings, go to Google → Ads, and enable Opt out of Ads Personalization (wording may vary by device). You can also reset your advertising ID in the same menu.

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. LED banner history stored on your device remains until you delete it or remove the App, unless the App provides an in-app way to clear it. Some information processed by third-party partners is retained according to their policies and your device settings.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our partners operate. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards permitted by law.

11. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it, subject to law.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, to port data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

12.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are located in these regions, we process personal data as described in this policy and in line with applicable data protection laws. Our legal bases may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests (where not overridden by your rights), consent where required, and legal obligation.

12.2 United States (California and other states)

If you are a resident of a U.S. state with applicable privacy laws, you may have additional rights, including rights to access and delete personal information, and the right to opt out of certain “sales” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, where applicable.
